Q: I'm an existing SMP Press user, should I create a new account at ArrangeMe.com?
A: No. Please do not create a new ArrangeMe account. One has already been created for you based on your existing SMP Press account, which will ensure the successful transfer of your account, assets, and information to the new ArrangeMe platform. Creating a new ArrangeMe account will only cause confusion.
Q: Are my arrangements moving? What exactly is "migrating"?
A: Your current SMP Press account hosted by SheetMusicPlus.com is moving ("migrating") to an ArrangeMe.com account. Once the project is complete, your entire account will transition to the new ArrangeMe platform, built and hosted by Hal Leonard. This will publish your arrangements to SheetMusicDirect.com in addition to SheetMusicPlus.com.
Q: Do I have the option to stay at SMP Press or is migration to ArrangeMe mandatory?
A: ArrangeMe is the new version of The SMP Press program, so all users and assets must be migrated. SMP Press will be shut down at the end of June 2022.
Q: Will the URLs of my arrangements currently on SheetMusicPlus.com change after migration?
A: No. All URLs on SheetMusicPlus.com will stay the same and you will also retain all of your sales history.
Q: You said that accounts will eventually be "auto-migrated". What does that mean?
A: Users who did not receive access to the "self-migration button," this is for you! Please continue to use SMP Press like normal. When your account is ready to migrate to ArrangeMe, the notification on your dashboard will change to indicate that your account is in the process of being migrated.
Q: What if I have a title that has been published, but is still processing when my account begins migrating?
A: Any titles in the processing stage of publication will be migrated as soon as they finish and become live.
Q: What happens if I'm in the middle of uploading a title when my account begins migrating?
A: This scenario is a possibility. If it happens, you'll likely receive an error message when clicking the "Publish" button, but please don't panic! While a minor inconvenience, it simply means that the title you were trying to upload to SMP Press will be your first upload to your new ArrangeMe account!
Q: I heard that all my titles are going to change. Is that true?
A: Yes and no. Copyrighted titles must be changed to match the title provided by the publisher as it appears in the Song Search. The practice of including arrangement-specific information in the Title (e.g. “Song Title (for Brass Quartet)”) causes infinite versions of any given title and the Hal Leonard system requires all Copyrighted song titles to remain consistent.
All Original titles and arrangements of Public Domain material will not be changed, but will be subject to a 100-character limit.
Q: Will SMP Sales Reports be migrated over to ArrangeMe?
A: No. ArrangeMe sales reporting will start fresh from the time your account is migrated. Once migrated, your SMP Press account will still be accessible in a read-only state and we recommend downloading all historical SMP Press sales reports at that time for your personal reference. Any commissions earned during or after the migration to ArrangeMe will be reconciled by SMP Press prior to the site shutting down, even if you do not meet the minimum commission threshold.
Q: Will everything be 100% accurate and exactly like I had it in my SMP Press account?
A: During the migration process, it will be necessary to consolidate SMP Press data to meet ArrangeMe and Hal Leonard system standards. We have made every effort to ensure that the transfer of assets is as accurate as possible, but in some cases there may be additional formatting required to display your assets to your satisfaction. Once migrated, you will be able to check your titles to ensure the accuracy of the Format and Instruments selected.
Keep using SMP Press like normal!
Your account will be auto-migrated to ArrangeMe soon. For now, please keep using SMP Press like normal until you receive the notification that your account is being migrated, then follow the provided instructions to complete the process.
We appreciate your continued patience in this time of transition and we look forward to welcoming everyone to their new ArrangeMe account soon!
Sincerely,
The SMP Press/ArrangeMe Migration Team
